Danish ton helps RCA crush UCC in Superplate tourney

Imphal, December 23 2024: AKSDO, Khangabok and RCA Lilong crushed their respective opponents in league matches of the 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament 2024-25 on Monday.

Md Danish Khan (101 runs) and Md Alfash (76 runs) were the star performers as RCA humbled UCC, Kangchup Road by 174 runs at Model Higher Secondary & Oriental College Ground.

Batting first, the opening pair of Danish and Alfash guided RCA to reach 262 runs for loss of three wickets in 35 overs.

Chasing the target, UCC were bundled out for 88 in 19.1 overs with Zamir Khan and Aziz Mirza claiming three wickets each and Naesh Hussain accounting for two wickets.

At Moijing Public Ground, Bishorjit Mangang (73 runs) and Chinglensana Moirangthem (60 runs) ensured AKSDO's 129 runs victory over KASC, Khomidok.

After AKSDO scored 210/8 in the 35-over game, the bowlers led by Saikhom Kaiku Meetei and Saikhom Lanchenba Meitei (three wickets each), and Akash Laishram (two) ended the KASC run chase in the 23rd over with only 81 runs on the score board.
