State League: NACO, NISA win as NESU, YOSC spilt points

NACO rallied from behind to outscore TRAU 3-1, and NISA drubbed Rahee FC 2-0, while NESU and YOSC shared the spoils in Group B matches on Wednesday.
TRAU dominated possession in the early stages of the game and were eventually rewarded in the 31st minute when Moirangthem Diya Singh took a well-timed pass before he dispatched a sublime shot into the top corner.
NACO, however, got their act together to fight their way back into the game with a first-half injury time leveller from Konsam Akash Singh (45+1) .
The spirited NACO then turned the tables on their opponents, with Khwairakpam Rohit Singh finding the back of the net in the 55th minute.
Then it was up to Sekhar Tensubam Meetei who scored NACO 's third goal in the 79th minute and put his side firmly in control as the Nambul Mapal squad kept TRAU at bay to effectively seal the deal at DSA Ground, Kakching.
Another Group B match in Kakching saw NESU and YOSC end up sharing a point each in a 1-1 stalemate.
NESU took the lead in the 35th minute through Phijam Sanathoi Meetei before YOSC made it all square in the 44th minute, with Ningthoujam Pritam Singh on target.
After the break, neither team were able to find the upper hand, resulting in a 1-1 tie.
NISA, meanwhile, scored at both ends to claim a convincing 2-0 win over Rahee FC at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong, Imphal.
Ngangom Peter found the opener after nine minutes as Laishram Bijoy made it 2-0 in the 53rd minute to ensure NISA collected all three points in convincing style.
