The Young Welfare Club were crowned champions of the Under 17 Khelo India Girls' Football League 2023-24 - Imphal as FC Imphal thumped ICSA 10-2 in the last match of the tournament on Thursday to claim third place.
The Young Welfare Club girls amassed 24 points from their 10 games to win the title.
They were unbeaten through their campaign, proving their worth with seven wins and three draws.
Youth Welfare Club finished second courtesy of 21 points they collected over the course of the league.
They won seven games and lost three.
FC Imphal completed the top three after their 10-2 demolition of ICSA in the last match of the tournament.
Heikrujam Roshibina Chanu (16, 23, 24, 64) scored four goals while Khumukcham Bhumika Devi (49, 62, 77) netted a hat-trick, with Chingkhamayum Redima Devi (50, 80+3) contributing two and Longjam Ghanapriya Devi (18) getting one to help FC Imphal end their campaign on a high note.
