MNCA announces State team for North East Rising Cup

Imphal, May 11 2025: The Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA) has announced the names of the players who will be representing Manipur at the North East Rising Cup 2025 for U-15 girls due to be hosted by Assam Cricket Association.

The players who made it to the 15-member squad are Laishram Bigyapati (Captain), Laishram Viviene (Vice Captain), Thokchom Dimple, Farhana, Laitonjam Binita, Laishram Anjali, Waikhom Suchitra, Farjiya, Laishram Linthoi, Wangkhem Nganbi, Hanglem Malemnganbi, Nazmin Khanam, Seram Shilheibi, Laitonjam Linthoi, Sagatpam Henthoi.

A 5-member support staff were also named to lead the team .

The support staff comprise Samukcham Robertson as manager, Sarungbam Rajiv as coach, Phurailatpam Joyeeta as assistant coach, Ahanthem Merina as physio and Wahengbam Kunjabihari as trainer.

8 North East State teams will be participating in the tournament.

Manipur are drawn alongside hosts Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland in Group A and will play Assam in the opening match on May 13 at ACA CA ground, Fulung, North Guwahati.

Tripura, Sikkim, Meghalaya and Mizoram are clustered in group B.Manipur will play Nagaland in the second match and Arunachal Pradesh in the final league match.

Top two teams from the two groups will advance to the semi-finals before the final match slated for May 20 .
