KAFC, PTSC, SFC & CCYC prevail in Nicholas Moyon football tournament

Imphal, December 03 2024: Kankhu Athletic FC, Purum Tampak SC, Soltang FC, and Chandel Christian YC secured contrasting victories on the second day of the 2024 Sepoy Cr Nicholas Moyon Memorial Football Tournament at Ziontlang Village Playground, Chandel.

Kankhu Athletic FC delivered a dominant 7-1 victory over Khuringmul YC, with N1 Phowlson leading the charge by scoring a hat-trick (14', 70', 75') .

Kanlun contributed with a brace, while Sn Bungam (8') and Lompa (17') also found the back of the net.

Shingkham (46') scored a solitary goal for Khuringmul.

In a tightly contested match, Purum Tampak edged Heigrutampak YC 2-1 .

Makan Marting opened the scoring for Purum in the 7th minute, but Mongamthar equalised for Heigrutampak in the 26th minute.

Pl Malreng then netted the decisive goal in the 62nd minute, securing the win for Purum.

Soltang FC triumphed over Japhou YC in a penalty shootout after the match ended in a goalless draw.

Soltang emerged victorious 4-3 in the shootout, with successful penalties from Ajule Ruwn-dar, Benoson Wanglum, Sk Akbar, and Rl Wartha.

Chandel Christian YC defeated Ziontlang 3-2, with goals from Rucho (22'), Bethangam (38'), and Warlongam (61') .

For Ziontlang, Franklyn (42') and Salemthang (65') scored in a valiant effort.
