State boys' team captures regu gold at Sepaktakraw nationals

Imphal, January 31 2025: Manipur continued their stellar performance at the 28th Junior National Sepaktakraw Championship 2025, securing the boys' regu title on Thursday after winning two gold medals in the team event.

The boys' team triumphed over Nagaland with set scores of 15-12 and 15-9 to claim the gold in the regu competition.

In the semifinals, Manipur defeated Delhi with scores of 15-6 and 17-14, following a dominant 15-11, 15-5 victory over Maharashtra in the quarterfinals.

Prior to reaching the quarterfinals, the team secured wins against Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, and Odisha.

Meanwhile, the girls' team is one win away from securing the girls' regu title, having triumphed over Haryana with scores of 17-16 and 17-15 in the semifinals.

In the quarterfinals, they defeated Bihar with scores of 15-9 and 15-13.The girls had registered victories over Punjab, West Bengal, Delhi, and Gujarat on their way to the quarterfinals.
