TRAU coach Surmani sacked from AMFA Technical Commitee membership, AIM fined Rs 20,000

Following a minute discussion of the Executive Council of the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA), the football body of Manipur has relieved Kh Surmani, coach of Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU), Kwakeithel from the membership of AMFA Technical Committee (for Men) according to a office noitification on January 19 .
The Executive Committee has maintained that Kh Surmani, coach of TRAU who is also a member of AMFA Technical Committee (for Men) violated the Code of Conduct of a coach on January 15 during the first semi final match of the 56th CC Meet played between Assam Regimental Centre (ARC) and TRAU at Khuman Lampak.
After studying the incident and his conduct, the Executive Committee terminated Surmani from his membership from the Technical Committee of AMFA.
On the other hand, AMFA has imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 to AIM for their participation in the 6th Namrup Gold Cup Prize Money Football Tournament 2012 organised by Namrup Town Club held at Namrup, Assam without the permission of AMFA.
After their participation, AMFA served a show cause notice to AIM upon which AIM filed an explanation that they were not aware of any such rules which require permission of AMFA for participating in such tournaments.
However, the Executive Council in its meeting held on January 19 observed that AIM had participated in various tournaments in the past and they took permissions from AMFA everytime which confirmed that they were aware of the rules.
After discussing the matter and studying similar cases in the past, the Executive Council of AMFA in an official notification imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 to AIM which should be paid on or before January 31 .
