Manipur amass 4 gold medals in 68th NSG Thang-Ta

Imphal, April 08 2025: Manipur clinch four gold medals in the U-14 boys' Phunaba Ama and Anishuba competitions as the 68th National School Games 2025 Thang-Ta entered second day here at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium.

Irungbam Bomson opened Manipur's gold medal account by finishing atop in the -40 kg category competition above Labakumar Saikia of Assam and Dharanidharang of Tamil Nadu.

Chanamthabam Poireiton extended Manipur's gold medal haul by finishing on top in the -44 kg category competition as Ansh Birthariya of Vidya Bharthi bagged the silver and Tanish Gulia of Delhi bagged the bronze medal.

Loitongbam Athoiba won Manipur's third gold medal in the -48 kg category competition by beating Anuj of Uttar Pradesh.

Arpit Mishra of Vidya Bharthi meanwhile bagged the bronze medal in the same category.

The fourth gold medal for Manipur was won by Nongthombam Urejis in the -52 kg category competition beating Kunal Singh of Uttar Pradesh while Aditya Bhardwaj of Delhi bagged the bronze medal.
