47th State Level Senior Handball C'ships : MPSC to meet KVWA in men's final, MPSC vs IMC for women's crown

Imphal, May 19 2025: The final line up of the 47th State Level Senior Handball Championships being hosted by KKLYDO, Kongpal Kongkham Leikai at its ground has been completed today.

MPSC will play KVWA, Mayang Imphal in the men's title clash while MPSC will take on IMC, Thoubal in the women's final.

In the men's semi-final matches, MPSC outlasted ESU, Wangkhei by 29-26 goals and KVWA notched up a 28-10 win against YWO, Singjamei.

Th Rabi scored 12 goals and Th Hemanta netted 9 goals for MPSC in the keenly contested match against ESU as N Saratchandra and N Gobin added 3 goals apiece and H Ingocha scored twice.

For ESU, L Henery (12) and W Rakesh (8) contributed a bulk of 20 goals as N Yoihenba scored thrice and Sh Abocha, Y Romario and Soibam Raj scored a goal apiece.

Meanwhile, A Tondonba, O Yaiphaba, A Premson and A Rashikant scored four goals apiece to set up the big win for KVWA as Th Yaiphaba and A Yaikhomba added three goals apiece, N Shitaljit and Kh Ratan added two goals apiece and Kh Dayananda and Sh Samuel scored one goal apiece.

For YWO, Umakanta scored three goals, E Priyo and Kh Sharukhan scored 2 goals apiece, and A Somorjit, A Ranjan and Surjit netted one goal each.

In the women's semi-final match staged today, MPSC beat YLK, Chingarel by 19-13 goals as IMC saw out KVWA 16-6 .

Ksh Apabi (5) and N Sunibala (5) led the scoring for MPSC in the first semifinal match as N Babina (4), M Dimple (3), N Sushila (1) and Ng Khomeiton (1) contributed 9 goals.

For YLK, L Nomika added 6 goals alone as N Aliya (3), N Pitalika (2), N Selina (1) and N Levia (1) managed to contribute 7 goals.

In the second semi-final match, I Ronibala (6), Th Anjubala (5) shared a bulk of 11 goals for IMC as Th Roshibala (3) and Th Jenila (2) contributed 5 goals.

For KVWA, Kh Henthoi and Ng Jenibala added two goals apiece and H Lamnganbi and Th Debajani scored a goal apiece.
