State Open Tennis : Yoimayai, Valeska seal U-12 singles titles

Imphal, December 23 2024: Yoimayai and Valeska emerged U-12 boys and girls singles winners in the 43rd State Open Cash Prize Tennis Championship-2024 organised by the Manipur Tennis Association at Officers' Club Tennis Complex, Lamphelpat.

Yoimayai sealed the boys title this morning as he beat Arnav 6-4, 6-3 in the final clash.

Yoimayai had earlier beaten Dhruv Malik 8-3 in the semi-final to make it to the final.

Meanwhile, Valeska got the better of Shelza Asem 6-2, 7-5 to clinch the U-12 girls singles crown this evening.

Earlier in the semi-final, Valeska outlasted Y Gucci 8-4 to seal her place in the final.

The day also saw N Premjit and T Brojendro reach men's singles competition final.

Premjit booked his final ticket this morning with an easy 6-1, 6-1 win over Becker in a semi-final match as T Brojendro eased to a 6-1, 6-1 semi-final victory against Padmeshwor.

The final match is scheduled tomorrow morning.
