Under Dog, Momo Girls seal Spt basketball titles

Senapati, July 11 2024: Assam Rifles successfully organised the Senapati District Level Basketball Tournament, which was held from June 20 to July 10, 2024 .

The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from 28 teams, both men and women categories, from Senapati and Kangpokpi districts.

Matches were held at Senapati, Maram, and Mao.

The tournament provided a sporting platform and motivated the youth from all across the district.

The final matches took place on July 10, 2024 at Maram Garrison.

In the men's category, the Under Dog team emerged as the champions and lifted the district level basketball tournament trophy.

In the women's category, the Momo Girls clinched the championship title.

Medals and cash prizes for both winners and runners-up teams and trophies for winning teams were distributed by the commandant of the Maram Battalion, Assam Rifles.

This tournament not only highlighted the sporting talent of the youth but also reinforced the commitment of Assam Rifles towards promoting sports and unity in the region.
