Imphal, October 17 2026: Manipur Democratic People's Front (MPDF) president Dr Narengbam Rajivkumar has stated that two National parties engaging in a blame game over an issue unrelated to the protracted crisis in the State is unfortunate.

Addressing the media at Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal today, Dr Rajivkumar also questioned why a leader of a certain party could meet and raise the issue unrelated to Manipur crisis to President Droupadi Murmu but failed to raise the issues of displacement, killings and violence that have been continuing in Manipur since May 3, 2023 .

It is not the time for National parties to divert attention from the crisis in Manipur, he said, questioning how long the people of the State would have to suffer.

He asked the National parties to clarify whether they are seeking to gain political mileage from the issue rather than working towards resolving the crisis.
