India's top woman shuttler Saina Nehwal will be felicitated by a group of badminton lovers, under the banner "Badminton 45", for her recent exploits at the international arena.
The 19-year-old Hyderabadi ace won the Indonesian Open Super Series women's title last month and has risen to world number six.
Saina would be presented with a cheque of Rs 2.5 lakh on July 11 by Mrs Rajashree Birla, wife of late industrialist Aditya Vikram Birla, a media release said.
"Badminton 45", which has been organising all India veterans tournaments since 1992, had in the past honoured men shuttlers Nandu Natekar, Prakash Padukone, Pullela Gopichand, Devinder Mohan, Dinesh Khanna and Rajeev Bagga, besides women players Meena and Ami Shah.
