PTCC, PTRC victorious in 1st MNCA U-23 Women's One Day Trophy

Imphal, April 07 2025: PTCC, Patsoi Part III and PTRC, Patsoi Part IV emerged victorious in today's action of the 1st MNCA U-23 Women's One Day Trophy.

At THAU ground, PTCC beat TCMDC, Thongju by 2 wickets for the second straight Group A win by chasing down a target of 125 runs in 31.4 overs.

TCMDC posted 124 runs for 8 wickets in 35 overs on the back of Athokpam Tennis's 39 off 64, Anoubam Inao 18 off 50 and identical 13 runs from Thongam Sothoi and Y Nikita Chanu.

The innings saw Bandana 3/13 and Laishram Bigyapati 2/31 sharing 5 wickets while Khundrakpam Anjali claimed a wicket.

PTCC then crawled to the target in 31.4 overs with 2 wickets left to spare thanks to Irom Shrili's 85-ball 35, 18 from L Bigyapati and 47 extras.

Thongam Belina (3/23) picked three wickets for TCMDC while four others picked a wicket apiece in a lost cause.

Bandana who led the PTCC bowling attack was adjudged player of the match.

Elsewhere at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, PTRC beat PSC, Khuyathong by 48 runs for their first Group B win in two matches.

PTRC were bundled out for 127 runs in 26.3 overs after opting to bat first despite efforts from Palujam Kiranbala 31 off 41 and Konsam Sayatombi 24 off 20 as Thokchom Puni (3/28), Kangabam Surangini (3/18) and Keisham Nisha (2/33) led the PSC bowling attack.

PTRC's Laitonjam Linthoi (4/14), Kiranbala (3/7) and Laishram Linthoingambi (2/13) however surpassed the PSC's bowling performance to dismiss PSC for 79 runs in 28.4 overs to set up the 48-run victory.

Kiranbala who produced an allround performance was adjudged player of the match.
