Meiraa, MPSC-A win in 2nd UNACCO Cup

Imphal, May 19 2025: Meiraa, Bashikhong and MPSC-A registered victories in league round matches of the 2nd UNACCO Cup, 2025 (9-A-Side Men's Open Hockey Tournament) at Chanung UNACCO Ground, Imphal East on Monday.

Meiraa beat Bishnupur Hockey (BH) 2-1 with Danish sounding the board in the 17th and 39th minute, as BH reduced the score deficit through M Amarjit (51st) .

Meanwhile, hat trick of goals by Th Kirankumar (13th, 16th & 26th) helped MPSC-A trounce HU, Lairikyengbam Leikai 5-1.HU struck the opener through captain Kh Somi-kant (9th) but the lead lasted barely five minutes as Kiran-kumar completed his hattrick and Th Rakesh (32nd) and Kh Rabikanta (59th) contributed with one apiece to ensure the comprehensive win.
