17th Manipur State League : SAI-RC drub AFC 7-0 as MPSC beat Elite FA 1-0

Imphal, March 19 2025: SAI-RC, Takyel crushed AFC, Thoubal by 7-0 goals as MPSC beat Elite FA by a slender 1-0 margin in today's matches of the 17th Manipur State League at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

In the Group A match staged this afternoon, MPSC sealed the narrow 1-0 win over Elite FA thanks to Thangjam Kiran's 64th minute strike after both the sides entered into the break goalless.

It was the third win for MPSC in as many as 6 games.

In the Group B match stage later in the day, Kharibam Pravananda Meitei scored thrice and Bless Vashum hit twice to inspire SAI-RC the 7-0 win against AFC, Thoubal.

Pravananda opened the scoring for SAI-RC in the 11th minute before Bless took his turn to make it 2-0 after 26 minutes.

Pravananda was at it again in the 29th minute to give SAI-RC a 3-0 first half lead.

As SAI-RC picked up the game from where they left, Chihanring Lunghar made it 4-0 after 52 minutes before Pravananda completed his treble three minutes later.

Huidrom Torres who came off the bench after the restart then made it 6-0 after 65th minute before Bless rounded off the scoring in the 69th minute.
