Imphal, April 08 2009: The Ideal Club Tera (TIC) and CYLC, Chingamathak will fight for the final victory for boys' category in the 17th State Youth Boys and Girls Basketball Championship organised by the Manipur Basketball Association (MBA) at Basketball ground, Bramhapur Nahabam after winning their respective semi final matches today.

In the meantime, the 27th Sub-Junior Boys' and Girls' State Level Basketball Championship, 2009 has also commenced today at the same venue which is also organised by the Manipur Basketball Association (MBA) .

The first semi final match of the ongoing 17th State Youth Boys and Girls Basketball Championship was played between PYO, Uripok and TIC, Tera.

TIC defeated PYO 67-49 and entered final.

S Agu of PYO scored the highest points in the match.

He scored 21 points alone against TIC in the match.

Tejbanta also scored 15 points while RK Surajkumar and O Rebanta scored seven and six points each against TIC.

On the other hand Bijoy of TIC scored 17 points against PYO while Tingku and Sanjoy scored 16 points each.

Anand also scored eight points while Ozzy and Nongyai scored five points each against PYO in the match.

The second semi final match of the championship was played between CYLC, Chingamathak and ESU, Wangkhei.

CYLC defeated ESU 59-57 and entered final to fight TIC for the champion's title.

S Bishwanath of CYLC scored 19 points against ESU in the match.

Ksh Nanao scored 16 points, H Anand scored 14 points, Haxmollin scored eight points while Sanjoy scored two points against ESU in the match.

On the other hand, Y Kasper of ESU scored 21 points against CYLC.

L Santosh also scored 19 points while H Momo scored eight points, Sh Charanjit scored six points and L Boy scored three points against CYLC in the match.

After winning their respective semi final matches, TIC and ESU will play the final match.

However the date and time of the final match for the championship has not been fixed till now.

In the meantime, the 27th Sub-Junior Boys' and Girls Championship which commenced from today is being participated by eight teams of boys and three teams of girls.

The first match today was played between EEC, Telipati and TDBBA, Thoubal.

The match was won by EEC after defeating TDBBA 38-21 points.

Rojee of EEC scored 10 points against TDBBA while Meiraba and Dayananda scored eight points each.

Dinesh also scored six points while Biondy and Johnny scored two points each against TDBBA in the match.

On the other hand, AK Ningthousana of TDBBA scored 12 points against EEC.

Yaiphaba scored four points, Anilkumar scored three points and Y Naresh scored two points against EEC in the match.

St Anthony defeated YOSC, Khurai 52-24 in the second match today.

Leonard of St Anthony scored 26 points.

Duangailu scored eight points, Baorei and Jack scored six points each, Bitu scored four points and David scored two points against YOSC in the match.

On the other hand H Dinesh and W Kenibir of YOSC scored 11 points each against St Anthony while Korounganba scored two goals in the match.

Next match: CYLC vs ESU; TIC vs LMYVA; YOSC vs YC.
