4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy: THAU complete league stage sweep with 131-run thrashing of AKSDO, to play PTRC in title clash

Imphal, March 19 2025: THAU, Thangmeiband steamrolled AKSDO, Khangabok by 131 runs to complete league stage sweep and finish as league winners of the 4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy at THAU ground, Thangmeiband.

With the result, THAU will play league runners up PTRC, Patsoi Part IV in the title clash on March 21 at Kongba Dhobi Lampak.

Niruta Thoudam took centrestage in both the innings as she added highest 45 off 40 deliveries to inspire toss winners THAU a huge total of 218 runs for 7 wickets in 35 overs before picking up three wickets to help her team bundle out AKSDO for 87 runs in 33 overs.

Moirangthem Creety was unbeaten on 37 off 31 (2 fours, 1 six) after stitching a 71 -run partnership for the 7th wicket with Yambem Milan Chanu (32 off 25, 5 fours) for THAU.

Ningthoujam Monika (32 off 27; 2 fours) and Usham Robeni (31 off 65, 2 fours) also made significant scores for the team in the innings that saw AKSDO concede 24 runs.

Khundrakpam Rabina (3/ 40 in 7 overs) and Thokchom Alish (2/33 in 7 overs) led the bowling attack for AKSDO and shared a bulk of 5 wickets as Laishram Linthoi Chanu (1/36) and Moirangthem Daina (1/46) chipped in with a wicket apiece.

In reply, AKSDO crawled to a lowly total of 87 runs for all wickets down in 33 overs as THAU bowlers succeeded in breaking partnerships in regular intervals.

Thokchom Alish 16 off 19 and Khundrakpam Bijiya 12 off 37 were the only double digit run getters for AKSDO before both were dismissed by Thoudam Niruta who also bowled out Laishram Linthoi to complete her haul of 3/17 in 5 overs.

Naoroibam Sophiya (2/4 in 3 overs), Ningthoujam Monica (1/9), Ahongsangbam Thoithoibi (1/11) and Yambem Milan (1/18) were also among the wickets for THAU.

Thoudam Niruta was eventually adjudged player of the match.
