SHADOW, PTCC extend winning run in 3rd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy

SHADOW, Thangmeiband cruised to their third straight Group A win in 3rd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy beating YPHUC, Lalambung by 8 wickets at THAU ground, Thangmeiband.
SHADOW bowled out toss winners YPHU for 85 runs in 26.4 overs riding on impeccable bowling performances from Sagatpam Henthoi and Wahengbam Priyabati before Sapam Kebriya anchored with an unbeaten 46 off 33 balls to steer the team to winning 87 in just 8.4 overs.
After Hanglem Priyanshee found the breakthrough for SHADOW by bowling out Irom Japani on 7 for the first wicket, Henthoibi claimed as many as four wickets for 30 runs (4/30) in her spell of 7 overs and Priyabati picked two wickets (2/18 in 4.4 overs) including the highest and only double digit run getter for YPHUC Waikhom Suchitra 24 off 49.Chasing 86 for the victory, Kebriya Sapam saw her opening partner Moirangthem Nirupama went out on first ball duck and lost Thokchom Victoria on 14 for the second wicket at 57.With the target too close, she stood firm to finish off the chase with Laishram Viviene 8 not out off 2 balls in 8.4 overs with 8 wickets left in hand.
Henthoibi who led the SHADOW bowling attack was adjudged player of the match.
PTCC crush PSC at Kongba
Elsewhere at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, PTCC, Patsoi Part III, who had lost two opening games registered their second win by thrashing PSC, Khuyathong by 171 runs.
PTCC opted to bat first after winning the toss and piled up 196 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 35 overs before dismissing PSC for a paltry total of 25 runs in 14.2 overs with Khundrakpam Angoubi leading the demolition work.
Niruka 45 off 58, Lourembam Prena 44 off 52 and Laishram Bigyapati 28 off 22 led the scoring for PTCC in the first innings that also saw PSC bowlers conceding as many as 53 extras.
At the end, Usham Saliza returned with the best bowling figures of 2/24 in 7 overs for PSC as Kangabam Surangini (2/40) and Kh Sinthoi (2/33) too finished with two wicket hauls and Maibam Marvi picked one (1/37) .
In the chase, 9 PSC batters went out without registering any run as Niruka (1/8) and Bandana (2/4 in 3 overs) removed the top batters before Khundrakpam Angoubi enjoyed a hattrick in the 7th over removing Surangini 0, U Saliza 0 and Thokchom Pumi 0 in the second, third and fourth deliveries to reduce PSC to 17/6.Kh Anjali (1/0) and Laishram Bigyapati (1/1) also chipped in with a wicket apiece for PTCC as Angoubi went on to claim two more wickets to enjoy a fifer (5/5 in 4.2 overs).
Angoubi eventually walked away with the player of the match accolade.
