AMOFA capture 15th Loktak Trophy title

Imphal, April 08 2025: AMOFA Academy pulled off a 3-2 penalty shootout win over TYDA Toubul to clinch the 15th Loktak Trophy title at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary Ground on Tuesday.

With neither side able to break the deadlock during regulation time, the final was decided by spot-kicks.

AMOFA Academy held their composure under pressure to secure a narrow win over their resilient opponents and lift the coveted trophy.

Individual honours were awarded to Th Roddic of GDC Thinungei, who was named best goalkeeper, and Neema Tamang of TYDA Toubul, who received the best player accolade.

The fair play award was presented to RFCC Keinou in recognition of their exemplary sportsmanship.

The closing ceremony was attended by MLA Bishnupur AC Govindash Konthoujam, MLA Moirang AC Th Shanti Singh, and NHPC officer (HR) Tapas Ranjan Behra as chief guest, president and guest of honour, respectively.
