Imphal, April 08 2025:
YPHU eased their way to a 2-0 triumph over Sang-gai Heroes in Tuesday's action of the 17th Manipur State League 2024-25 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
The deadlock was broken in the 38th minute when Thongam Priyaball Singh expertly found the back of the net, sending the YPHU supporters into raptures.
Building on their first-half momentum, YPHU doubled their lead in the 73rd minute as Ngoru Semi Moyon capitalised on a defensive lapse to slot home a clinical finish, sealing all three points for his side.
Sang-gai Heroes struggled to break down YPHU's organised backline, with their attacking efforts repeatedly thwarted by a disciplined defensive unit.
Despite a few half-chances, they failed to test YPHU's goalkeeper significantly, leaving them empty-handed at full-time.
