Army dedicates Wushu Sanda Arena to Bpr athletes

Spear Corps of the Indian Army inaugurated a state-of-the-art Wushu Sanda Arena at Nachou village, presenting it to the Bishnupur District Wushu Association on Tuesday.
The event saw the participation of the association's president and vice-president, along with local community leaders and aspiring athletes.
This initiative is part of the Indian Army's commitment to promoting sports and fostering a culture of health and discipline among the youth.
The newly developed arena, built to international standards, is equipped to serve as a high-quality training and competition venue for emerging Wushu practitioners in the region.
Wushu, a traditional martial art, has witnessed growing popularity in India, particularly in Manipur - a state renowned for producing talented athletes across various disciplines, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Defence's Public Relations Office for Manipur, Nagaland, and Southern Arunachal Pradesh.
The event concluded with a vibrant Wushu demonstration by local athletes, showcasing the skill and talent of the region's youth, the press release added.
