AKSDO and RCA set up MNCA U16 boys cricket title clash

AKSDO, Khangabok and RCA, Lilong will square off in the final of the 4th MNCA U16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 202-23-24 after the two the team triumphed in their respective semifinal matches on Saturday.
AKSDO inflicted a heavy 9-wicket defeat on TCMDC, Thongju in their semifinal contest at Dhobi Lampak, Kongba Khunou.
The Khangabok boys restricted TCMDC to 135 for 8 in the allotted 35 overs after the Thongju side elected to bat.
In the innings, Thomsan was unbeaten on 41 off 96 balls as Rain scored 41 off 49 balls.
AKSDO's disciplined bowling attack saw Kaiku snap 2 wickets while Sanayai, Dinesh, Nungshiba and Suranjit each bag a wicket.
The Khangabok squad then took 28.5 overs to achieve the target with 9 wickets to spare.
In their chase, Samson hit an unbeaten 67, Bishorjit scored 57 and Chingamba was not out for 4 to help AKSDO win their semifinal match with ease.
RCA, on the other hand, entered the final with a dominant 72-run victory against BLUE HAWK, Khurai at Oriental College Ground.
Elected to bat, RCA found themselves being reduced to 148 after they were dismissed by the opposition in 27.4 overs.
Naesh Hussain (25), Mohd Saad (19), Md Zunad Hussain (17), Md Samir Khan (16) and Md Danish Khan were the batters who got into double figures in their innings.
Despite their low total, RCA managed to rise to the contest with Nawaz Sharif playing a pivotal role for his team as his 5-wicket haul helped the Lilong side bowl out BLUE HAWK for 76 in 24 overs.
Zunad Khan's 2 scalps and a wicket each by Danish Khan, Md Soib and Naesh Hussain supplemented RCA's brilliant bowling performance that propelled to the final.
Earlier, M Romesh took 4 wickets for BLUE HAWK.
RCA and AKSDO will clash for the title on Monday, November 6 at Model Hr.
