Women's Sepaktakraw team opened the gold medal account for Manipur today in the ongoing Khelo India Youth Games hosted by Bihar.
The women's team picked up the gold medal in the team event by defeating Kerala by 2-0 sets in the final match.
Notably Konjengbam Poni, Longjam Linthoi, Yumnam Malemnganbi, Pangambam Ajoka, Chanam Jennifer, Longjam Chaoba, Pangambam Leingakpi, Elangbam Kamala, Chingangbam Priyanka, Khangembam Soma, Khaidem Shelly, Takhelmayum Thoithoibi, Roshila Wangkhem, Chungkham Chaoba and Laishram Silky are in the women's Sepaktakraw team.
Manipur men's team meanwhile set up a final date with hosts Bihar.
The result could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.

Cycling : Th Gyananta wins two medals
The third day of the games also saw Manipur win a silver and a bronze medal in the men's team sprint and men's individual 10 km scratch race.
The team comprising Th Gyananta, H Suraj and K Lanchenba bagged the second silver medal for Manipur in the men's team sprint event before Th Gyananta settled for a bronze medal in the men's individual 10 km scratch race.
Notably, Yanglem Athoibi opened the medal account yesterday by winning a silver medal in the women's -63 kg judo competition while compatriot Kh Monika competing in the same weight category ended up securing a bronze medal.
Volleyball : Manipur reach semi-final
Manipur men's volleyball team today reached the semifinal with a 3-1 sets victory against West Bengal in the final league stage match.
Manipur, who had beaten Punjab in straight sets before going down by 3-2 sets to Rajasthan in the second match, defeated West Bengal 25-22, 25-19, 22-25, 25-12 in the last league match to book a place in the semi-final.
Notably, the men's team comprise Hasan Buya, Heibob Fajakir, Kongkham Abinash, Wangmayum Ibrahim, Yumkhaibam Jaiyas Khan, Heisnam Heramani, Sorokhaibam Albert, Sorokhaibam Chalamba, Lukram Mantosh, Chabungbam Sivananda, Ningthoujam Anish, Sarangthem Krishnadash, Irom Mani and Laishram Rajshaksena.
Table Tennis : Segal loses 4-11
The lone Table Tennis star from Manipur, Kshetrimayum Segal suffered opening game loss today as he went down to Priyanuj Bhattacharya of Maharashtra by 4-1,1 points.
Swimming : Athouba misses podium finish
Manipur's Sarungbam Athouba who recently won the Triathlon gold in the South Asian competition hosted by Nepal missed podium finish in 4x100 m individual medley event today.
Athouba showed promising form to reach the final but failed to make it to the top.
