1st Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament YWC beat CRAU by 34 runs, TRAU thump PSC

YWC, Langthabal today defeated CRAU, Khamnam Bazar by 34 run in a Group D league match of the 1st Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament staged at Langthabal Public Ground while TRAU, Kwakeithel crushed PSC, Khuyathong to secure an 8 wicket victory in a Group A league match.
In the first match of the day, YWC won the toss and chose to bat first.
An outstanding 27-ball 55 from Kishan stole the limelight in the first inning while Prafullo and Priyokumar together tallied 32 runs from their ends to post a total of 130 runs.
Anil's three-wicket haul in 4 overs gave a slight relieve to CRAU but the batting order could not play an effective role in the second inning.
Ajay of the same team also picked 2 wickets in this inning.
In response, CRAU crumbled to only 64 runs for all wickets down under a combination of tight bowling and commitment in the field from YWC, Langthabal.
Hirachandra scored 18 runs in 34 balls while Rakesh and Ronil made 16 runs and 10 runs respectively in the chase.
Bishwash of YWC led the bowling side claiming 3 wickets in 3 overs offering 15 runs while all rounder, Kishan aided his side in notching the much needed win by dismissing 2 in 2.5 overs.
Sunil of the same team also picked two in this inning.
Kishan was eventually declared man of the match for his half century and two-wicket haul.
In the second match between TRAU, Kwakeithel and PSC, Khuyathong, the latter team bundled out for a meagre 82 runs for all wicket down in 20 overs to give the former an 8 wicket win.
PSC who won the toss and elected to bat first could not produce a strong line up today.
Pratyush who fetched 23 runs in 35 balls was the best the Khuyathong side had.
Rakesh and Sourav made 9 and 5 runs each to set 83 runs as target.
TRAU, on the other hand rode on Priyojit, Raju and Panday to capitalise the bowling attack which dismantled the top orders of PSC easily.
Priyojit claimed 3 wickets giving 13 runs in 4 overs while Raju and Panday dismissed 2 wickets each.
TRAU chased the target in just 12.2 overs for 4.Abuash Ali stood not out scoring 27 runs while Sahadat contributed 24 runs in 22 balls in the second inning.
Priyojit was declared man of the match.
BLUE HAWK, Khurai will face AL-AMEEN in a Group D league match tomorrow in the morning session while SCCC, Singjamei will take on PTRC, Patsoi in a Group A league match.
