Imphal, June 06 2021: Moreh and Mantripukhri battalions organised Tree Plantation drives in Moreh and Imphal East on Saturday towards promoting the 'Go Green Initiative'.

According to a release of PRO IGAR (South), the Tree Plantation drive was conducted on the occasion of World Environment Day with an aim to control global warming, make environment pollution free and spread awareness on the importance of clean environment.

As part of the initiative, tree saplings were planted by the AR troops.

During the event, the troops were educated about the importance of trees in maintaining the ecological equilibrium.
