Government Quarters burnt at Senapati

Imphal, May 16 2012: Ravaging fire reduced two Government Quarters to cinders while another was partially destroyed by the fire at Senapati district headquarters today.

No human casualty has been reported though.

According to report, the incident occurred today around 2.20 pm.

The official quarters of DTO and DI (School) were reduced to ashes while the quarter of DSP was partially burnt down.

Personnel of Fire Sub-Station, Senapati district prevented the fire from further escalation.

Properties worth lakhs of rupees have been estimated to be destroyed in the fire though the exact worth of property destroyed by the fire could not be immediately established.
