Imphal, September 05, 2010: Four brand new Honda Activa scooters brought along Imphal-Dimapur highway by four persons were hijacked by some looters from near Tadubi with the obvious intention of robbing the vehicles.

However, timely action by police and CRPF foiled the attempt.

Senapati SP Nishit Kumar Ujwal said that police and CRPF swung into action immediately on learning about the incident.

The security team chased the looters and recovered the hijacked vehicles but the hijackers managed to make their escape good.

The vehicles have been handed over to their riders.
