Hindi Divas observed

Hindi Teachers Training Institute (HTTI), Imphal observed Hindi Divas at DM College Campus today.
M Yaiskul Meitei Secretary SCERT, Govt of Manipur and Dr M Meenakumari Devi Director SCERT attended the event as chief guest and president respectively.
On September 14, 1949, the Country recognized Hindi as Rashtrabhasa, since then the day has been observed as Hindi Divas till date, said M Yaiskul.
"Manipur is under the Union of India and majority of the citizens speak Hindi so we need to share and connect the people of India through Hindi language," he said and highlighted the importance of Hindi language in India.
President of the function Dr Meenakumari said, there is a lot of vacancy for Hindi teacher in the Education Department.
2 years course on Hindi recognized by NCT is required to be qualified
as hindi teachers, she said.
