Recruitment policy for teachers in pipeline: Radheshyam

While attending the Excellence Achievers Awards, 2018 held at the Indoor Stadium, District Headquarters, Senapati which was organized by the Mao Students' Union in collaboration with Mao Academy, Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam said that a policy for recruitment of teachers is in the pipeline.
Many teachers retired every year causing shortage of teachers as there has been no recruitment for the past many years except for the recruitment of teachers for SSA and RMSA which has resulted in the creation of vacant post, he added.
Highlighting on the importance of the teachers in education, he said that without teachers school cannot be administered while adding that with the implementation of the recruitment policy, the data of retiring teachers will be analyzed beforehand for each year so that once the teacher gets retired the vacant post could be filled with the new recruits which will help in lessening the issue of shortages of teachers as the vacant posts will be recruited in time as per the number of teachers getting retired every year.
While sharing the sufferings of the students due to poor infrastructure, the Minister also assured the people of Senapati that their demands will be met which include conversion of the Aided High School into a fully-fledged Government High School.
He said that the department is putting all its energy to improve the infrastructural condition of the schools.
Speaking to the students, Minister PHED, Printing & Stationery, Losii Dikho said that there is a need to retrospect to the past and present condition for better future and added that no one can live alone without society, and for this, one should contribute for the betterment of humanity and appealed the students to contribute towards the betterment for one and all.
The programme was attended by dignitaries, Principals of different colleges and schools, teachers and students while awards were distributed to the students who had excelled in different streams.
