Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has warned shopkeepers
and traders against raising the prices of essential commodities taking full advantage of bandh and blockade.
In a statement, the joint secretary of MSF stated that there
is a habit of people standing in long queques in front of petrol
pump outlets as soon as economic blockade are announced
and people should avoid doing that and the Government should
ensure adequate supply of diesel and petrol.
It also appealed to bandh and blockade enforcers not to
disrupt the movement of students, medical, water, power,
religious ceremonies during the blockade and stated that they
will not remain as a mute spectator if their pleas are not heeded to.
