Imphal, August 08:
A 24 year old youth succumbed after consuming a toxic substance likely to be pesticide this morning.
The deceased identified as Konjengbam Goro (24) s/o Veira of Heingang Mayai Leikai reportedly went out this early morning to spray pesticide in paddy fields.
However, he was found writhing in pain on the paddy field.
As he was rushed to RIMS, he was declared brought dead at about 7.30 am, said a police source.
