Imphal, January 07: The Anal students' union, Anal Leruwl Tangpi (ALT) has hailed SR Tohring d/o Rev SR Tourngam and Py Shanglur of Nauokom village, Chalpikarong, Chandel district on receiving the Ph D degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in Modern Indian History.

The topic of her Ph D thesis is 'Ethic identities: A case study of relations between the Nagas and the Kukis (1826-1997)'.In a statement, the student body wished her a bright and successful future.
