CrPC 144 imposed in Imphal East

Imphal, August 08: Invoking Section 144 CrPC the District Magistrate Imphal East has prohibited assembly of five or more persons and carrying of objects likely to cause harm/injury in the entire district with immediate effect.

The prohibitory order is being issued as pre-emptive measures to ensure there is no breach of peace and tranquillity in the district, said a statement while informing all concerned to obtain permission in case of public function or procession in the scheduled area.
