Imphal, September 05: The proscribed KCP contended that neither Hidam Dara (41) of Ningomthongjao is a KCP cadre nor is one Yumnam Bishorchandra alias Kendra known or familiar to the armed group. a statement issued by KCP's information and publicity secretary H Poirei conceded that it has feedbacks that certain individuals had been posing as KCP activists with the intention of tarnishing the outfit's image.

Activities of such individuals would be closely monitored and appropriate punitive action would be initiated without further warning, said Poirei while urging the masses to understand the situation and desist from staging demonstration as elimination of anti-party individuals had become inevitable to sustain the movement.
