Imphal, April 29 2016 : IMPHAL, Apr 29: A State level contest on Meetei Mayek would be held on May 1 under the aegis of MEELAL.

Speaking to media persons at their head office here this afternoon, MEELAL president Moirangthem Naokhomba said that altogether 3245 students would participate in the 10th State level Meetei Mayek contest in five categories.

The five categories are Classes III-IV; Classes V-VI, Classes VII-VIII, Classes IX-X and Class XI.

So far 955 students have submitted their application forms in Imphal East district, 525 in Imphal West district, 1135 in Thoubal district and 630 in Bishnupur district, Naokhomba informed.
