Imphal, February 26: The United Komrem Revolutionary Army (UKRA), GHQ has alleged one S Emboi, tatar of the NSCN (IM), and s/o S Thangkhupmhur of Sagang village of disbanding the existing Komrem Students' Union Manipur and appointing new office bearers of his choice.

A UKRA release issued by its information and publicity secretary SB Kom claimed that S Emboi had threatened KRSUM president and other functionaries at gunpoint to renounce their respective positions (posts) apart from forcing the incumbents hand over responsibility to individuals inserted by Emboi.

While terming the intervention of Emboi in the KRSUM matter as a direct affront to the Komrem people, the secretary also described development as unfortunate particularly when the KRSUM office bearers' election has already been notified.

Prevailing upon the NSCN (IM) leadership to reign-in and ask Emboi to apologise for his misadventure, UKRA said failure to honour the appeal would constraint it to act in a befitting manner.

Those elevated to the KRSUM posts at the instigation of Emboi have also been warned to accept their guilt and tender public apology within three days.
