Imphal, May 19 2025: Security forces detained some persons wielding illegal barrel guns in Saikul area, Kangpokpi district this afternoon.

Security forces launched a drive against those who were holding illegal barrel guns in Saikul area and detained them for verification.

Some local people protested the verification drive leading to a tense situation.

But the security personnel managed to keep the situation under control and the verification drive was going on till the time of filing this report, sources said.
