Prof Nachane appointed 2nd Chancellor of MU

Imphal, December 16 2011: The President of India has appointed Prof Nachane Dilip Madhukar as the Second Chancellor of Manipur University for a period of five years with effect from November 4, 2011. Prof Nachane, MA (Economics), MA (Mathematics), Ph D, is currently a Professor Emeritus in Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai.

He is also the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar National Fellow; Honorary Felow Institure of South Asian Studies, University of Singapore and Honorary Fellow of Indian School of Political Economy.

Prof Nachane also has to his credit of publication of six books and ninety four research articles in journal of repute.
