Imphal, January 07: A police constable attached to the CID (Despatch Section) was found dead in a drain at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai under Imphal police station last morning.

The deceased cop is identified as one Haorongbam Bihari (55) son of late Birmangol of Sagolband Sayang Pukhri Mapan.

Even as the local people found him dead in the drain, his bicycle was also discovered above the drain.

The corpse has been handed over to family members after post mortem at RIMS morgue, said hospital sources.
