Tree plantation programme held at Angaan Ching

Thoubal, May 11 2025: In connection with Mother's Day celebration, a tree plantation programme on the theme "Emagee Mingda Malem Emageedamak Upaal Thaba" was held today at Angaan Ching, Kakching district organised by the Mayeng Lamjao GP in collaboration with ADAM and 4 VLFs and local clubs of Mayeng Lamjao GP.

The tree plantation programme held under the sponsorship of HQ 28 Sector Assam Rifles, Kakching and Divisional Forest Thoubal was led by Dr Jecceelee Leishangthem, DFO Thoubal in the presence of U Narjit, Pradhan, Mateng Lamjao GP, Major Ravi Kumar and Dr AK Vijayarani (SMO) of 28 Sector AR along with members of 4 VLFs of Mayeng Lamjao GP and local youth clubs.

During the programme, a total of 100 tree saplings provided by DFO Thoubal were planted to mark the day.

Later, a brief interaction session was held at the main complex of Angaan Ching Eco Park, Kakching district, where the dignitaries spoke about the importance of tree plantation on such occasions and to take initiative for the survival of the trees that were planted today.

ADAM'S YES-SHE (Sundays and Holidays for Environment) promotion T-shirts were also presented to the representatives of 4 VLFs by the DFO Thoubal and Dr Ak Vijayarani, SMO of 28 Sector Ar.

The members of Kakching Apunba Mairi Paibi Lup, Kakching Keithel Apunba Lup, volunteers and well wishers of Angaan Ching Eco Park also attended the programme.
