Imphal, September 05: Coming out strongly against double standard conduct of A Mema who is the secretary of United Mothers' Association, KCP (MC) has announced that although she had been forgiven earlier in consideration of her position as a woman as well as to give a chance for reformation, the party would now lay hands on her whereever she may be found as she had not amended her ways and conduct.

So the public should not raised any hue and cry over the action of the party on such a woman who is a reactionary and informer, a statement issued by Tamnganba Meetei of the propaganda, communication and technical officer of the outfit said.

While conceding to the misunderstanding caused as a result of using 'Universal' instead of 'United' in connection with the name of the Association, Tamnganba clarified that three alleged members of UMA namely Soibam Ongbi Sanahanbi Devi, Gurumayum Ongbi Shanti Devi an Huidrom Shantibala Devi as identified by Mema were not known to KCP (MC).

The statement given by Mema in this connection is in the possession of the outfit and any interested person may have a look at it.

Tamnganba further announced imposition of restriction on Minister Loken from contesting in the election in future charging him with challenging the outfit and working for his own interest instead of the welfare of the people.

Apart from the fact that the Minister has disregarded the suggestions put forward by the outfit in connection with setting up Anganadi centres in accordance to the laid down guidelines, it is only in his time as the Agriculture Minister that a crisis of artificial scarcity of fertiliser in the State has come about causing lot of difficulties to the farmers, Tamnganba said.

Instead of making fertiliser available to the farmers through their respective dealers, the same is being sold in black market at an exorbitant rate, Tamnganba alleged, directing that in place of Loken, voters of Nambol A/C should think about electing another candidate at election time.
