Impart education on nature to kids: Dy CM

Deputy Chief Minister Yumnam Joykumar Singh has said that there is the need to impart importance of nature to the young minds to enable them to love nature und conserve it.
He was speaking at the 20th Foundation Day Celebration of RUDA ACADEMY in Thoubal today.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the time has come enlighten the young minds not only with basic education but also the importance of conserving nature as it has an indispensable relation with the living creatures in the world.
He said that although human being is the supreme creation, "we the human beings should also love and respect other living creations.
If we teach the young minds the importance of nature, then it can be conserved easily." On imparting formal education, Joykumar Singh said, the three basic steps of learning, understanding and application have to be followed.
Although, teachers take the lead to teach students, parents are also equally responsible to educate their children.
He appealed parents to spare time for their children and to co-operate with teachers as well.
National Awardee and Advisor to the Academy, L.Ibochou Singh said that the modern education system imparts unlimited desires to the students.
He said, parents have equal and inclusive responsibility in educating their children.
Brigadier Vivek Sharma, VSM, Group Commander NCC Group HQ, Imphal also spoke on the importance of imparting leadership quality to young students through NCC.
He said, exposure being given to NCC Cadets will contribute to the Nation.
He also lauded the efforts made by the Academy in this direction.
Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister distributed prizes to the outstanding students of the Academy who have done well in CBSE Examination.
He also released Annual Bulletin, 2018 of the Academy during the celebration.
E Sachi Singh, Secretary of the Academy, Dr Khomdon Singh, retired Chief Librarian of Manipur University also spoke on the occasion.
