'JCRE trained 65,000 youths, jobs to 35,000'

Imphal, May 19 2025: JCRE Skill Solutions, one of the leading skill development organisations in the Northeast, has provided training to around 65,000 youths and facilitated job placement for over 35,000 in the last 12 years, said general manager Sushanta Sharma on Saturday during a state-level painting competition held at its Kwakeithel Akham Leikai office.

The competition was organised as part of a series of environmental activities in connection with the organisation's 12th foundation day, which falls on May 22.Sushant said that after achieving success in providing employment opportunities to the youth in the social impact sector, JCRE has now shifted its focus to environmental initiatives, recognising it as a crucial issue.

Under its environmental drive, JCRE conducted a tree plantation programme in collaboration with Thangmeiband Athletic Union (THAU) on Friday around the THAU ground and atop Cheiraoching, he added.

Saturday's painting competition was held under the theme "My Planet, My Responsibility" in three categories - Class 3 to 5, Class 6 to 8, and Class 9 to 12 -with participation of around 300 students.

In addition to prizes for the winners, tree saplings will be provided to all the participants, he informed.

In the first category, Class 4 student of Wangkhei High School, Kh Joy Meitei won first place, followed by Class 5 student of St George High School, S Purel Mangang in second, and Class 4 student of Wangkhei High School, Kh Chandra Meitei in third.

In the second category, Class 8 student Nongmaithem Koroun-gangba secured first place, Pitambara English School's Class 7 student Sanahen Oinam came second, and Maria Montessori School's class 7 student Leepun Ningthemcha took the third position.

In the third category, Seram Jairaj Meitei, a Class 10 student of Nongpok Maheikol, bagged first place, Korou Khuman, Class 12 student of CC Higher Secondary School second place, and JNV Khumbong's Class 10 student Oinam Rojibeya Devi finished third.
