Kwakta bodies refute allegations against Abdul Khaliq

Three civil society organisations of Kwakta area, AKYVO, Anjuman Isla-E-Muashra and Jamiatul-Ulama have denied the allegations made by Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) that the syndicate group of Abdul Khaliq funded a huge amount to Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA).
Speaking to the media persons at a press conference held at AKYVO Office located at Kwakta Bazar, Anjuman Isla-E-Muashra publicity secretary, Ayazuddim Fundreimayum said that the allegations levelled against Md Khaliq is condemned in the strongest term by the CSOs of Kwakta.
"It is very unfortunate that such baseless allegations have been made against Md Khaliq who has been taking an active role in aiding and supporting people affected by the violence between two communities that erupted on May 3, 2023 .
In addition to being the advisor of organisations like ANJUMAN, AKYVO Jamiatul Ulama, he is also a member of ANJUMAN and an Islamic religious leader", said Ayazuddim.
He further said, "Md Khaliq who runs his family by doing a betel leaves business is a religious leader who is working tirelessly to eradicate the mushrodming drug-business in the State.
The allegations against him are aimed at defaming him and ruining his career" .
Urging KCP to investigate thoroughly before making allegations in the media, Ayazuddim said civil society organisations of Kwakta may be approached if anyone wants to know further about Abdul Khaliq.
