Draft electoral rolls of Tadubi AC out

The Election Commission has published a draft photo electoral rolls of 49-Tadubi (ST) Assembly Constituency, where a by-election is due following the death of its sitting MLA, N Kayisii on January 18 .
According to the draft photo electoral rolls that has April 1, 2025 as the qualifying date, the Constituency has a total of 57,756 electors.
The 57,756 voters include 24,048 males and 23,708 females, and zero (0) third gender.
1,137 of the voters are between the ages of 18 and 19 .
The Constituency has a gender ratio of 986 females per 1000 males and the electoral population ratio in percentage is 39.7 % .
The 49-Tadubi Assembly Constituency has a total of 81 polling stations.
Briefing reporters at the office of the CEO at Lamphelpat today, Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Ramananda Nongmeikapam said the public, electors and representatives of political parties may inspect/verify the draft photo electoral rolls at the office of the Electoral Officers/Assistant Electoral Registration Officers and with all the Booth level Officers (BLOs) of the Constituency.
They may also visit the State Chief Electoral Officer's website https://ceomanipur.nic.in to inspect the draft photo electoral rolls, he added.
Ramananda said a meeting of the representatives of National and State political parties was also held at the office of the CEO today and they have been given copies of the draft electoral rolls of Tadubi AC .
The Joint CEO said the Special Summary Revision (with April, 2025 as the qualifying date) has begun from today with the publication of the draft electoral rolls by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of Tadubi AC .
Claims and objections may be filed from April 8 to April 24, 2025 .
Claims and objections will be disposed of by May 2, 2025 .
Application forms may be submitted physically to the Electoral Registration Officers, Assistant Registration Officers and Booth level officers, or online at https://voters.eci.gov.in and Voter Helpline Mobile App.
Appealing to all eligible citizens of the Constituency to get themselves enrolled as electors, the Joint CEO said the final photo electoral rolls will be published on May 5, 2025.It may be noted that the Tadubi seat in the State Assembly has been lying vacant after N Kayisii died on January 18 following a prolonged illness.
He had won the 2022 election on an NPP ticket.
While the date for the due by-election has not been announced, the ECI is expected to conduct the exercise soon.
