MoS Defence to visit Kamjong

Ukhrul, April 07 2025: Union Minister of State (MoS) for Defence, Sushil R Gaikwad is all set to visit Kamjong district on April 9 .

Sources said, Sushil R Gaikwad will be accompanied by his personal Secretary and two other officials of the Ministry of Defence.

Security has been beefed up in Kamjong Headquarters, and necessary preparations for the visit of the Union Minister of State for Defence are underway.

Kamjong Deputy Commissioner Rangnamei Rang Peter will receive the Minister at the District Headquarters, said sources.

The MoS will land at Kamjong at around 10 am on April 9.He will hold a series of meetings with officials of various departments and civil bodies.

The Minister will arrive at SDO office, Kamjong and hold a meeting with the District Level Officers (DLOs).

He will then meet representatives of civil society organizations of the region and Self Help Groups till 4 pm .

The Minister will leave the district on April 10 after a night halt at 8th AR Chassad, Kamjong.

Meanwhile, people of Kamjong have expressed strong expectations that the Minister's visit to the district would bring positive outcomes.

Civil society organisations in Kamjong are expected to apprise the Minister of various grievances and issues facing the district.
