JAC constituted against the death of an 18-year girl and a new born girl has today announced of launching an intense agitation after the State Government allegedly failed to initiate necessary steps.
Speaking to mediapersons at Manipur Press Club, JAC convenor L Jateshwor said, "An 18-year old girl along with a new born baby girl were found dead in a pond located at Irengband Hawairou Laibung Leikai.
Memorandum was submitted to both the Chief Minister and Kakching AC MLA" .

Since the authority concerned has failed to take up prompt steps to nab the responsible culprit(s), the JAC has decided to launch a series of agitation soon, he said.
"Police have been interrogating the parents of the deceased.
One suspect, who works at a private institution, has been pulled up by police for questioning," Jateshwor added. According to the victim's parents, their daughter had told them a day before she was found death that she was eloping with the suspect, he stated.
