Imphal, February 18:
The proscribed KCP (MC) has offered revolutionary salutes to its three cadres who were killed by security forces on February 12 this year at Kongu Chingkhong Sinamkom village.
The three cadres killed in the incident have been identified as Asst Commandant of the 1st Laljaba unit, Lt Saphaba alias Ningthoujam Bentaling alias Angouba (35) of Kairenphabi Mayai Leikai, Sgt Kill alias Yumnam Chand alias Anil Meitei (33) of Khagempalli Huidrom Leikai and Corp Sanathoi Alias Konsam Sunil of Phumlou Awang Leikai.
In a statement, the secretary of the military affairs of the outfit, Lanheiba Meitei said that fitting tributes were paid to the three departed souls at the Laljaba units of the outfit as well as the Red Shield Camp and General Headquarters.
Paying tributes to the three deceased cadres, the statement said that prior to the unfortunate incident, Cpl Sanathoi had sent an SMS to the party's leadership requesting them to send some money as the condition of his ailing mother had worsened.
As for the injuries suffered by him during an encounter with SF on January 24 this year, Cpl Sanathoi said that he would bear it, said the statement and added that such was the spirit of the late cadre.
Recalling the encounter on Jan 24 at Singjamei Chingamathak, the statement said that despite the heavy security deployment, Cpl Sanathoi engaged them to a gun fight and inspite of being hit by a bullet he carried on with the fight and saved the lives of the other comrades.
Asserting that there is every reason to suspect a conspiracy behind the incident that led to their deaths, Lanheiba said that it could have been the handiwork of either some reactionary groups or some impostors posing as revolutionaries.
A fitting answer will be given to anyone found guilty, pronounced the statement and added that it would embark on a 'total punishment' against the culprits.
Even members of any frontal organisation found involved in the incident would not be spared, added the outfit.
The statement also urged the people not to misunderstand them when they embark on the their revenge strike.
Reacting to the charges levelled against the KCP (MC) by one Laishram Mangoljao alias Samu alias Bhim alias Lamjanba alias Lanchenba Khuman alias Lallumba who identified himself as the commander-in-chief of the KCP (MC), the statement said that Samu is yet to be admitted to the party and added that he underwent training and belonged to the 2nd Naga batch and worked under the late Sgt Boy in 2002.Since then he has been working for his own personal gains in the name of the outfit, alleged Lanheiba.
Recalling the past, the statement said that the KCP had awarded the death penalty to one Laishram Tomba of Awang Khunou Mayai Leikai in 2006.Tomba was the nephew of Samu and he was made the sacrificial goat, alleged the statement.
The corrupt and morally depraved Samu has been trying his best to besmirch the image of the KCP (MC), said the statement, adding that he was arrested on July 23 in front of Tyagi Hospital at New Delhi.
During the interrogation, Samu identified himself as the commander in chief of the KCP and thereafter an FIR was lodged, recalled Lanheiba.
Comrade O Suranjoy alias Piba who was named as the vice chairman of KCP by Samu is today with the KCP (MC), said the statement further.
Samu was the shifted to Sajiwa jail on August 16, 2007, said Lanheiba and added that this was the time that the KCP (MC) had just been formed and added that the outfit was founded on August 3, 2007.The formation of KCP (MC) was effected outside Manipur and the Military Council Committee was set up and the process of its rules and regulations was being taken up then, said the statement and added that the process of appointing the office bearers was then on.
After this the Gen Hqs was set up at the present Red Shield, said the statement.
At the moment four Laljaba units have been formed to carry on the fight against the security forces.
At this very time when the KCP (MC) was proceeding towards its mature stage, Samu took refuge at the camp of the 19 AR at Yaingangpokpi and started collaborating with them to snuff out the movement of the outfit.
Sounding a stern warning against impostors, the statement said that it has to the knowledge of the outfit that some surrenderees are extorting from Govt Depts of the KCP (MC).
This shows the weakness of the Govt as it is unable to break the revolutionary movement and instead has started on a counter movement, asserted Lanheiba.
The statement further said that Samu should not accuse Ng Khelen alias Naoba of any misdemeanour and reminded all that Khelen was groomed as a true revolutionary by the late Pajihal Pajiyaima and Paji Leibakmacha.
