Imphal, March 15:
Reiterating its firm commitment to root out corruption through its 'Amotpa Sengdokpa' campaign, the KCP (MC) today said that if anyone is found using the name of the outfit for financial transactions and while going after contract works or getting appointment then the outfit will strike out without giving any prior warning.
The outfit further said that if the public suspects the activities of any KCP (MC) cadres, then they may contact the outfit through e-mail address [email protected] statement, issued by Lanheiba Meitei, secretary, military affairs of the outfit asked RIMS Director Dr L Fimate and the relevant authorities to announce the names and roll numbers of the candidates whose names were purportedly supposed to have been recommended by the KCP (MC).
To clear the air of uncertainty it is essential that the names be disclosed, said the statement and asserted that KCP (MC) will fight any obstacles that may arise during its 'Amotpa Sengdokpa' campaign.
To effectively enforce its campaign, the ACC team of the outfit are on the alert in Imphal East and West, said the statement.
Going on the offensive against some practices which have become a trend, KCP (MC) said that some revolutionary organisations have been working hands in gloves with the political class, interfering in the allotment of work orders, interfering in appointments to Government jobs and even in distributing tickets to candidates during election time.
Such a trend is not compatible with the revolutionary movement, it claimed.
The KCP (MC) faced a lot of difficulties in detecting the foul play that was committed in the recruitment process taken up in the Social Welfare Department in August last year, asserted the statement.
Out of the 70 appointments made under the ICDS projects, fifty percent of them had got in through corrupt means, claimed the outfit and added that the chief culprits are the Social Welfare Minister N Loken, its Director Nabachandra and Deputy Director Satyabati Devi.
The KCP (MC) knows fully well that UNLF cadres have been deployed as her Personal Security Officer, alleged the statement and added that the UNLF today is working in close tandem with Chief Minister O Ibobi.
Instead of trying to cover up the close ties, it would be better for them to announce the truth to the public, it added.
The outfit further said that the recruitment of 125 supervisors and workers and helpers of 3138 Anganwadi Centres under the ICDS project in the Social Welfare Department were effected in total violation of the ruling of the Supreme Court and in the name of different revolutionary organisations.
This shows that it is not only the Government which has dirtied its hands but also many of the revolutionary organisations.
It has also come to light that huge amount of money released by the Centre for Nutrition and Medical Kit programme under the Social Welfare Department has been misappropriated.
The Central Security Council of the KCP (MC) will soon take a decision to mete out fitting punishment to all the guilty persons, it claimed further.
On the recruitment of police personnel, the outfit said that the practice of 10 pc cut of the Chief Minister has robbed many competent candidates to get employment and warned others who have greased the palms of the CM and others to get appointed to take back their money or else they will pay a heavy price.
